Best of the Web: Superbowl Sunday!
Posted by TaylorFriday February 3, 2012
With only two days until the big game, it’s time to start finalizing those menu plans (because no one wants to miss a play, and especially not a commercial, to go pick up pizza). In honor of the brewing rivalry between the Pats and the Giants, we’re bringing you two installments of best-of-the-web features today, the first by our resident New York fan (booooo!)…

Check out these bloggers for fun and yummy game day recipes that put a new twist on some classic Superbowl Sunday snacks and treats.
This dip from A Communal Table goes well with pretty much anything. Without cheese or heavy cream to weigh it down, this is a perfect option for vegetarians or anyone who wants to indulge in a guilt-free snack during the game.
Ginger Lime Buffalo Wings
Tired of the same ol’ wings? This tangy rendition of a fan favorite by [No Recipes] puts an Asian twist on the tradition chicken wing with Thai chili, ginger, lime, and oyster sauce.
Mini Linguiça Drop Muffins
After I found out what exactly “linguiça” was, I was immediately intrigued by this recipe from Local Kitchen. Made with traditional Portuguese smoked sausage (yum!), these little muffins are a cute and delicious alternative to typical Superbowl munchies.
BBQ Kale and Onion Pizza
Cooked in beer, topped with mozzarella cheese, and piled on smokey barbeque sauce, kale has never sounded so good. Oh, and when isn’t pizza a win? Never. Thank you Fake Food Free for this one!
Chocolate Strawberry Footballs
We’ve seen a lot of football themed desserts, but this one is so clever and easy! Jackie at Domestic Fits takes chocolate-covered strawberries to a whole new level.
