Michele Anna Jordan

Michele Anna Jordan a second-generation Californian, has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area her entire life. In 1995, she joined the San Francisco Focus magazine as a restaurant critic and contributing editor. Later that year she launched the radio show “Mouthful with Michele Anna Jordan,” which has since been nominated three times for the James Beard Award for Electronic Journalism.

Jordan has been nominated for an IACP Cookbook Award and writes for numerous national publications, including Food & Wine, Wine & Spirits, Kitchen Garden, Appellation, Sky, Electronic Gourmet Guide, and Savor magazine. A chef as well as a writer, Jordan brings a solid culinary background to her writing.

Jordan teaches culinary classes at private cooking schools around the state.  She lectures on a variety of topics including olive oil and the farm-restaurant connection, and is a frequent guest on radio and television around the country. She lives in both western Sonoma County and San Francisco.
