The Joy of Pregnancy Wins The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval

The Seal of Approval is one of the premier award programs identifying the finest products for parents and children. The South American Table wins “Best of the Best” Gourmand World Cookbook Award
Tuesday July, 28 2009The Harvard Common Press is delighted to announce that The South American Table, by Maria Baez Kijac, has won a “Best of the Best” Gourmand World Cookbook Award, 1996-2008. This follows the bestowment of their “Best Latino Cookbook in the World” award in 2003. The award will be presented in Germany at the Frankfurt Opera House on October 14th, as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair. In light of this, we are reissuing the title in hardcover this September, reflecting its status as perhaps the most authoritative, comprehensive study on South American cuisine of our time.

Good Spirits wins IACP Cookbook Award!
Monday April, 21 2008The Harvard Common Press is thrilled to announce that Good Spirits: Recipes, Revelations, Refreshments, and Romance, Shaken and Served with a Twist, by A. J. Rathbun, has won a 2008 Cookbook Award for Best Food Styling & Photography from the International Association of Culinary Professionals! This is one of the highest honors that a cook book can receive. Congratulations to Melissa Punch and Brian Preston-Campbell for their excellent work.

Gadgetology honored by National Parenting Publications
Friday March, 21 2008Gadgetology: Kitchen Fun With Your Kids, Using 35 Cooking Gadgets for Simple Recipes, Crafts, Games, and Experiments, by Pam Abrams, has received a 2008 National Parenting Publications Award for Parenting Resources. Look for a feature on the book at the Parenthood website in mid-April.

Gadgetology wins Bookbuilders of Boston Award
Monday February, 11 2008The Harvard Common Press is proud to announce that Gadgetology, by Pam Abrams, has won a prestigious Bookbuilders of Boston design award for the organization’s 51st Annual New England Book Show in the category “Books: General Trade, illustrated.“ The award recognizes design excellence among New England book publishers.
Gadgetology will be on special display April 9 for the New England Book Show at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. The book will also be archived at the Burns Library at Boston College and featured on the bbboston.org website.
